Beauty Unboxing: Birchbox #BeautyJunkie August 2015

It's that time of the month again! Birchbox* time!

This month's theme was #BeautyJunkie, which had the box covered in Birchbox's own emojis! I love it! How cute is it?

Also included as a Lifestyle extra were these super cute #BeautyJunkie emoji stickers, which I cannot wait to use and stick all over my note pads, etc come September!

The first thing I pulled out of my box this month was this L. Erickson hair tie! N ow I have thick hair, and need extra stretchy bobbles to tie my hair up with, but this usually means they're really thin and break super easily. This, however, I can tell will be prefect for me and will last me quite awhile! It's very stretchy and is well made and thick, I just wish it had come in a nicer colour!

The next few things are great if you are going away this month. Firstly we have the Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo which "deep cleanses and rejuvenates". It says on the back to use once or twice a month and apparently works as an exfoliant to your hair... I don't know how I feel about this product, but I like to retain as much moisture in my hair as possible, and I have a feeling this shampoo won't want to do that.

This next product is BioNike's Defence Tolerance Essential Cleansing Water. This does not work as a normal cleansing water does though! Instead of applying it onto a cotton pad and then swiping all over your face to cleanse, the formulation of the product is thick enough to apply to the skin with your fingers, massage into your face and neck and then remove with a cotton pad. The product isn't too thick, and it just melts away into the skin. An interesting concept, and one I would like to try out some more!

Another great product to chuck in your suitcase ready for your summer holiday is this Rituals Rice Scrub with organic rice milk and cherry blossom. It's a foaming scrub, which I love, and it smells amazing! The granules are the prefect size for it to feel like it's actually doing something. I may use this all up before I get the chance to go on holiday!

When I spotted this Lord and Berry blush in the bottom of the box I was over the moon. I received a sample bronzer in my March Birchbox and I loved the colour and thought it was great for travel - and I think the exact same about this blush! It is in the shade Lotus, and think it is very natural looking, and great for summer. It's also a matte shade - perfect for me!

Last but not least is something I was not expecting this month. It's theBalm Balm Desert. The sample size is the same as the one I received of the Cindy-Lou Manizer. I think it's too small to use properly, as it's about the size of a small eye shadow, and that's probably what I will use it for. It's a little too orange for my skin tone, and not quite dark enough for my personal preference, but I think it would be a good, warm transition shade for the eye, such as the way I use Benefit's Hoola
