First Impression: L'oreal Infallible foundation

If you've seen my Trafford Centre haul post then you would have seen that I had purchased yet another foundation to try out. This time is was the L'Oreal Infallible Foundation in the shade 140 Golden Beige. It wasn't particularly a foundation that has stood out to me in the past, however after seeing my sister using this, I decided I wanted to try it out. I've used this twice since I bought it, so not exactly a first impression, but I feel like I haven't used it enough to give a full review of this particular foundation.

Travelling: Amsterdam II

Last month, if you follow me on Instagram then you will have seen that my boyfriend and I took a weekend break to Amsterdam. I have to say, Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities to visit (previous post here), so I was so happy to finally share it with Alex. The idea around this post is going to be a little bit different than my normal. I'm not going to go into great detail about our trip, as it wasn't much different to my first trip to Amsterdam - there was a lot of eating, drinking beer and walking.

Confessions of a Shopaholic: Trafford Centre haul

About a month ago I went on a trip to the Trafford centre with my friend Amy in search of graduation attire. I didn't get much to wear for graduation, but I did get a hell of a lot of makeup! I picked up some absolute gems - things I've been after for a while, and a few things that I didn't know that I even wanted. It's safe to say I went a little crazy that day but I have no regrets - everything was on 3 for 2 in Superdrug! (P.S. - Reviews coming soon!)

Review and Haul: Coconut Lane (+Giveaway!)

In recent blog posts you may have seen a few things in the background from a recent Coconut Lane order of mine. I recently became a Coconut Queen also (look out for a discount code at the end of this post) so I really wanted to give a lot of their products a try before I started recommending the company to people. I will say before we dig right in that I love everything that I received, and that this is not sponsored and that I purchased everything with my own money - the discount code is an affiliate code however though, so if you don't feel comfortable using it then don't, but do know it will help me out a lot!

Confessions of a Shopaholic: Beauty Bay Makeup Geek haul

If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I have had a number of products just sat on my desk waiting to be photographed and written about. This is the first post of that pile, and I am so excited that I finally got the photos out of the way and now I can finally use them!

As you have already seen from the title, this post is all about my Beauty Bay haul. So I finally purchased some of the Makeup Geek shadows that I must have been lusting over for years! Last month Beauty Bay held a half price Makeup Geek sale, so I just couldn't say no when they were all half price! I originally bought 7 shadows, but I didn't actually receive one of them (I'm guessing it was out of stock), and instead Beauty Bay sent me a Morphe brush to make up for it.

The shades that I picked (L-R Descending in image below) Beaches and Cream, Peach Smoothie, Chickadee, Bitten, Whimsical and Havoc. These are the main colours that had been on my wish list since I first came across Makeup Geek. I am also really into warm, orange toned eye shadows at the moment, and I simply cannot wait to play around with these as transition shades that will really step up my smokey eye game!

The top four shades (Beaches and Cream, Peach Smoothie, Chickadee and Bitten) are all matte shades, which is one of the main reasons that I wanted these in my collection. I have very little matte shades, and to have these in such staple and versatile shades is just fantastic. Whimsical is from the foiled shadow range and reminds me of MAC's pigment in Kitchmas. Lastly, Havoc is from the duocrome line and has a lovely brown/red/green tinge to it - it very much reminds me of the last shadow in the Wet and Wild Comfort Zone palette.

Now, I'm not going to review these shadows here in this post as I'm going to save that for another day. I will say however, that these shadows swatch beautifully and I just cannot wait to create some gorgeous looks with these shadows! One thing I will review though, is the service I received from Beauty Bay - I have used them before on a number of occasions without any problems, I am however disappointed with the way that they handled one of the eyeshadows being out of stock. The fact that I got sent a brush that I didn't want or choose instead of a refund is a little bit disappointing personal. I do believe that the RRP for the brush is slightly more than what I paid for and the RRP of the eyeshadow, so it's not all bad. A notification that this was happening or even that the eyeshadow was out of stock was all that was needed though, whether it be in an email or included in the parcel.

Nonetheless I love my Makeup Geek shadows, so look out for my review and swatch post for them coming soon! I will also post a quick review of the Morphe brush in a separate post soon so keep your eyes peeled for those two! Also, feel free to let me know what your favourite Makeup Geek products are so I can add them to my wish list!

Review: The Body Shop Moisture Foundation

If you haven't seen it already, I reviewed the newest foundation in the Body Shop's collection several months ago. After trying the Fresh Nude foundation I was eager to find the right Body Shop foundation for me - as some of you may already know I have such a huge love for the brand and my skincare consists of a large amount of their products.

Life Update: Finishing university, Job hunting and Dealing with my debts

I've never really properly spoken about myself and my life here on my blog - mainly because I didn't think that many people would even care. However, with a lot of people also going through the same things as me at this point in time, I thought it might help someone in some way. As you can tell by the title, I'm going to be talking about finishing my degree and all the other sh*t you didn't realise came with it.

Is it worth the hype?: Benefit Porefessional primer

I'm going to save the suspense with this post, as this is a product that I am completely in love with. I first tried this when I got a sample of it and I savoured it until I finally ran out. I'm not sure why I waited so long to purchase this product, but when I finally ran out of that tiny sample I went straight to Birchbox to purchase it with my points!

Review: MAC Lovejoy Mineralize Blush

When I first purchased this product, it wasn't really something that I thought was worth reviewing. I'm not one for any sort of sheen or shimmer being in my blush, so I'm not quite sure why I bought this. I also really love soft muted pinks on my cheeks so this is a whole different level for me.

MUA Luxe Velvet lip lacquer lip swatches

MUA Luxe Velvet lip lacquer lip swatches

You might have noticed that I've been a littler bit out of the picture lately, and that is because I've been in the last couple of months of completing my degree. Now that university is all over, I really want to focus on my blog again. So I posted a poll on my Twitter asking people what they wanted to see next, and MUA Luxe Velvet lip lacquer lip swatches was the winner!

March Favourites 2016

This post might be a little late than the usual monthly favourite post, but that's just the way I am. The thing is, I had already filmed this video last week ready for the weekend, however the lighting was so awful, the footage had to be deleted. So this week's blog post is my March Favourites.

Is it worth the hype? Urban Decay Naked 2 palette

For the longest time I had been lusting after the Naked palettes, but I was always unsure on which one I wanted the most. I was so scared of paying almost £40 and then realising I'd chosen the wrong palette and that the shades were all wrong for what I liked. However, for my 21st birthday in December, I knew I finally wanted to have my very own Naked palette.

Review: The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation

As soon as I saw that The Body Shop was coming out with a new foundation, I had to try it. This range looked like it would have the perfect shade for you - with 16 shades and going darker and lighter than most drugstore foundations, I thought I would finally find my perfect colour match.

Confessions of a Shopaholic: Discounted Stila Haul

Ever since trying Stila's One Step Correct, I've been interested in trying some more of their products. So when I saw these beauties discounted in TK Maxx, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity!

Firstly, I want to start off by saying, I was so shocked at initially finding these, and I know from past experiences, there isn't always as many great products like there were the day I went in - quite frankly, I got lucky!

Is it worth the hype? theBalm Mary Lou Manizer

It's no secret that theBalm's Mary Lou Manizer is one of best highlighters on the market. It is constantly raved about on Youtube, Instagram, you name it, someone's talked about it at least once. Because of it's cult status, it had been on my wish list for a long time, so when I saw it discounted in the Black Friday sales last year, I just had to get my hands on it.
