Is it worth the hype?: Benefit Porefessional primer

I'm going to save the suspense with this post, as this is a product that I am completely in love with. I first tried this when I got a sample of it and I savoured it until I finally ran out. I'm not sure why I waited so long to purchase this product, but when I finally ran out of that tiny sample I went straight to Birchbox to purchase it with my points!

I literally love this primer. Porefessional isn't exactly made of my skin type - as some of you may know, I have dry skin and this primer is oil free, suggesting that it is more suited to oily skin types. However it is a lovely silky formula and includes vitamin E so it works wonderfully smoothing over my dry patches, as well as my pores. Some people with dry skin have said that it makes their face look too matte, but as long as you use a dewy or satin finish foundation then it should be fine. I like to use either Maybelline's Dream Satin Liquid or Rimmel's Wake Me Up.

This is a great primer to use when you want your skin to look flawless, such as on a night out, a special occasion or for an event when you'll be photographed. I'm not quite sure it really prolongs the wear of your foundation by a lot more, but this primer is more about the look that it gives your skin. I personally think it is 100% the £24.50 price tag and I will go back to this product again and again. For someone with dry skin that can often look textured, this primer really is a life saver when it comes to getting flawless skin!

If you're thinking about purchasing Porefessional, I would definitely try to get my hands on a sample first, just to see what you think of it first. Look out in magazines or even on the Benefit website as I find that Benefit do give away mini sizes of their products from time to time. Birchbox also have Benefit samples in their boxes from time to time. Boots also stock a mini size for £9.95 on their website and in store. Other options include Benefit's gift sets that include a mini size of Porefessional - there are some currently on the Boots website also for £9.95 that include 2 other products (link here) if you want to try out more that one product from them.

If you're interested in Benefit as a brand I have also reviewed Hoola bronzer and Dallas Blush.
